Wandering the streets of Budapest and the halls of the Museum of Fine Arts, the ceiling frescos held my gaze. Vines, floral swags, wreaths, and ribbons wrap around the city—and these hallways—in a graceful embrace. The plasterwork echoes these motifs, adding charm and elegance to the architecture. As I scribbled sketches, I knew these whimsical elements would weave their way into the Budapest collection. Hospitality, too, is at the heart of Hungarian culture—and in the Művészet place setting, the patterns come to life.
